What you see:
- We take you to Base Camp Lysefjorden from where we start the hike.
- The trail is uphill through beautiful scenery, with vegetation, forest and bare mountain.
- The hike is approximately 8 km long (5miles), and height difference are 330m from base camp to top of Preikestolen.
- See one of the most desired photographic destinations in Noway: Pulpit Rock or «Preikestolen» in Norwegian, looking down to Lysefjorden.
- Depending on the speed of our hike, we take you for a bonus trip to the start of Lysefjorden, with view to Lysefjorden bridge and all the way into Lysefjorden.
Who is the trip for
This excursion is ideal for individuals in good physical condition who have previous experience with mountain hiking. The total distance of the trip is around 8 kilometers, with an estimated time of 2 to 3 hours each way. The elevation gain from the starting point to the peak is 330 meters.
NOTE: People with less good physical conditions can do the trip, but would require more time, so please notify us in advance if this should be the case.
What you need to take with you:
- Closed-toed shoes only. Terrain is rocky.
- Depending on weather and temperature, bring warm clothes, wind/waterproof jacket and extra clothes to leave in car if you need to change wet clothing coming back from hike.
